Kork ist ein vielseitig einsetzbares Material. Kork wird aus der Korkeiche gewonnen (wenn der beim 25 Jahre alt ist kann er das erste Mal geerntet werden und dann alle 9 Jahre). Das Material ist ideal für die verschiedensten Bastelarbeiten, Modellbau geeignet auch im Haushalt kann Kork nützlich eingesetzt werden. Kork kann geklebt, genäht und getackert werden. Kork ist schadstofffrei und antistatisch. Kork lässt sich kaum eindrücken (als Unterlage optimal, Dämmstoff oder Pinnwand) und lässt sich einfach mit Schere und Cutter bearbeiten. Der Korkstoff hat eine weiche und glatte Oberfläche. Die Oberfläche des Korkstoffs ist mir Kork beschichtet, die Unterseite besteht aus einem Schaum- Stoffgewebe-Mix. Der Stoff aus Kork ist 0,8mm dick.
