Der Charoit wird auch Tscharoit genannt. Er ist ein violetter Stein, er kann aber auch weiß violett gemustert sein. . Er wurde erstmals am namensgebenden Fluss Tschara in Sibieren gefunden. Der Charoit hat sich in den letzten Jahren als beliebter Schmuckstein und Heilstein etabliert.
